Hatchery Program Viewer (HPV)
Introduction
The Hatchery Program Viewer (HPV) is a questionnaire used to characterize salmon hatchery practices by operational categories (broodstock collection, spawning, etc). The analysis tool summarizes these responses into a "Best Management Practices" (BMP) report where BMP conditions are based on recommendations from the HSRG.
HPV is used to characterize current hatchery practices and identify actions to address identified shortcomings with regards to BMP recommendations. HPV is used to balance the operational constraints of a hatchery with hatchery management purpose and type.
The HPV Tool and Datasets
